What Dog Food do you give your dog?

We've had 2 dogs in my family so far, they were my parents' dogs as I was still growing up at the time, and both were fed commercial canned dog food on the whole. (I'm going back a few years here!) We'd see the adverts on TV, showing healthy active dogs, and we'd think 'they look good, so let's buy that brand of dog food'. Both dogs got the typical doggy problems, and the second dog who was a bearded collie sadly developed arthritis at only 8 years young. This was helped greatly by natural products, but we never understood why he got it in the first place. I'm thinking of getting my own dog later this year and was really shocked by something I read recently about what commercial dog food contains AND the effect it can have on a dog's health. Hence this blog.
Anyone else feed their dog canned dog food? How's your dog's health generally?
